Dear Alan I am so sad that it was your time to pass, I don’t really know how long I have known you and Pat but I moved to Edenbridge when I was 4 and my earliest memories are of Mum and Pat in the sweet shop where I would go before and after school, you would often be there to collect Pat, sometimes in your post uniform and would always ask me questions about school and tease me in a fun way, sneaking me a sweet from the 1p pick and mix. As far back as I can remember you and Pat were always in my life, at parties, birthday’s, weddings, celebrations and you are the only person who has ever called me ‘Duck’ which, when I was young I found very funny and later in life found comforting. Fast-forward and you are now my Father-in-law and Grandad to the girls. You have always been Pat & Alan, Grandma and Grandad and that will not change, you are two peas in a pod and you will be greatly missed but always remembered. Keep an eye on the girls for me and give them a nudge in the right direction if you can x Rest well you deserve it. With much love Shelley x
